House music pioneer, DJ Sneak, spreads his love on V-Day for our 25th G-Love Mixtape.
DJ Sneak has been bumpin’ his groovy tunes onto dance floors worldwide since 1983–an undeniable vet in the game. His productions can be found in the catalogues of many top-notch labels going back 20 years; including Magnetic Recordings, Guesthouse Records, Snatch!, Desolat, Ovum, Defected, Exploited, Robsoul, Lapsus, No.19, Tsuba, and the list goes on and on. Sneak’s own label, I’m A House Gangster, has built its own impressive catalogue since 2014, which includes artists like Sidney Charles, Ramon Tapia, Hector Moralez, Joeski, Carlo Lio, Darius Syrossian, Jesse Perez, and of course DJ Sneak himself.
We’re excited, to say the least, to feature such a legend on our blog. Enjoy the mix and learn more about Sneak in the interview below.

Interview with DJ Sneak
Who inspires you?
My kids and my surroundings.
What is the hottest track in your arsenal?
One of my own that will be in my new LP, featuring Kid Enigma – Hit ‘Em With Some More (No Release Date yet)
Where in the world do you dream about DJing?
Haha, I never need dream about that, my career takes me to my destinations, but sometimes I do have many déjà vu about doing things before they happen.
When did you first get into house music?
I got into house music on New Year’s Eve in 1984, there was a radio station called WBMX 102.7 FM that was bumpin’ and what I considered to be house music all night too. It was great.
Why did you start I’m A House Gangster?
It first started after a blog I wrote in, “My Space” about the state of house music and the quality of parties that were all going on, suffering from trendy electro at the time. A lot of people were dissin’ house music like it was dead… and I did not agree. So I spoke out, the concept was originally for a project for one of my labels that didn’t work out so I flipped it into a house music campaign for the people, I’M A House Gangster became a voice for the many house music fans that supported and bought our mix tapes, our records on vinyl and came out to the raves and clubs, etc. We love them people!
How do you spend your free time?
I wish I had more, but usually I’m hunting for the best music, arranging things for future shows, running a small army that mobilizes all we that we do and am also a full-time daddy.
